Shina Hoang, born of Chinese Vietnamese descent in British-occupied Hong Kong, immigrated to the US as a child. Her family settled in one of Boston's roughest neighborhood, her life was anything but easy. Art became her sanctuary, providing relief from the brutality of the real world, and painting became her outlet, a means of survival. Shina shares artworks of is a symphonic visual of self expressivity.
